The Dalyston Netball Court and Change Room Pavilion Project was a $1.65m dollar project funded by Bass Coast Shire and the Victorian State Government. iDwala formed a key part of the project team having been awarded the detailed design and specification of two netball courts and a multisport area in Dalyston. Council was excited to provide this infrastructure to the community, noting how important it was for local communities to have access to quality-constructed sport and recreation facilities.
This project was a modernisation of the existing facilities, which included the resurfacing of the existing courts to meet Netball Victoria compliance guidelines. The design also included the installation of new fencing, player shelters and lighting.
According to the Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari, the modernisation of the area will help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Dalyston Football Netball Club by providing female-friendly facilities sure to attract more female players to the club.
The Dalyston netball courts and change rooms were opened in 2021 and the club community were very excited at the opportunity to play on modern, safe and compliant netball courts as well as having access to clean and comfortable change rooms. The project has proved a major success with the community and the new courts and facilities are an asset all stakeholders can be very proud of.
