CRANBOURNE PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL Cranbourne, Victoria

Client: Cranbourne Park Primary School

Timing: July 2024

Surface Type: Synthetic Turf

Cranbourne Park Primary School, a small yet vibrant school in the City of Casey, received a Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) Victorian Government grant to upgrade its sports amenities – transforming the campus with a new synthetic turf and multi-purpose sports facility. The project was led by Content Studio Architects, with iDwala engaged for the overall sports, site level and drainage design. iDwala was also responsible for the design of a multipurpose oval with a running track and multi-use sports court area.

Expanding beyond the existing sporting oval, iDwala’s design introduced a running track, futsal court, netball facilities, and a basketball key, with tower. The team also delivered a comprehensive site-wide design, including new drainage solutions to support the upgraded amenities.

In collaboration with Content Studio Architects, iDwala ensured alignment across multiple elements – including three new playgrounds and a native vegetation area – integrating these seamlessly with the oval and surrounding gardens to create a cohesive landscape.

Given the site’s scale and elevation challenges, iDwala carefully managed level transitions to ensure the new sporting areas aligned with existing buildings and outdoor spaces. The design also incorporated a new driveway, tailored to match the established entry levels of the school.

Today, students enjoy a vibrant, functional, and inclusive outdoor space – part of a $1.9 million transformation made possible by VSBA funding and the collaborative efforts of iDwala and Content Studio Architects.
