In March 2023, iDwala completed a transformative project for Hobsons Bay City Council at Laverton Netball courts. Facing severe asphalt pavement cracks, the Council sought a long-term solution to minimise future maintenance costs. iDwala’s application of a proprietary bandage system known as RiteWay emerged as a unique solution, effectively repairing the cracks and extending the courts’ lifespan. Complementing this innovation, the courts received a new acrylic surface in the netball club colours.

Additionally, iDwala installed compliant and lockable netball goal sleeves and posts, ensuring safety and conformity with governing sporting body standards. This comprehensive approach addressed the root causes of deterioration while enhancing usability and safety for all users.

The project not only saved on maintenance expenditure for Council but also significantly benefited the local community, clubs, and users by reducing court closure time to a minimum. By bridging the gap in the market for court maintenance solutions, iDwala’s application of the RiteWay technology provided a sustainable, cost-effective remedy, extending the courts’ lifespan by approximately 3-5 years.
